“Bronx Buzz” Show Features City Island’s “Best of the Bronx”

“The Bronx Buzz” with Gary Axelbank featured the 16 wins of City Island Chamber businesses in the Best of the Bronx program in a show that first will air on Thursday, January 25, at 6 PM on Bronx Net (Optimum Channel 67 / FIOS Channel 2133) or at this link: https://bronxnet.org/channel67/. The show will also be broadcast on those channels and online on Friday, January 26, at 4 PM, Sunday, January 28, at Noon and 6 PM, and Monday, January 29, at 4 PM.

On Tuesday, January 23, Axelbank taped the show via the internet with guests present at Elliott Glick’s The Artist (Starving Artist, City Island, NY), a winner for “Best Concert Venue.” Paul Klein, Chamber President, spoke about wins for the City Island Diner (“Best Breakfast”), City Island Lobster House (“Best Long Island Iced Tea,” and “Best Lobster Roll”), Tony’s Pier Restaurant (“Best Oyster Bar”), Lickety Split Ice Cream (“Best Ice Cream”), and the Seashore Restaurant & Marina (“Best Waterview Restaurant”), in addition to the two wins for his own Kaleidoscope Gallery: “Best Toy Store” and “Best Collectibles/Nostalgia Store.” In addition to Glick and Klein, Peter Gennari of Clipper Coffee talked about his wins for “Best Coffeehouse” and “Best Art Gallery,” and Spiros Chagares of Artie’s Steak & Seafood discussed his five wins: “Best Clam Chowder,” “Best Romantic Restaurant,” “Best Steakhouse,” “Best Seafood Restaurant” and “Best Italian Restaurant.”
