Then… And What Restaurant Is This Now?

According to the City Island Nautical Museum website, the Island Lighthouse Restaurant was on the Southeast corner of Ditmars Street, serving up a “regular dinner” for 50 cents, and a chicken and steak dinner for 75 centers.

Later known as The Manor, it has been, since the 1960s, Artie’s Steak and Seafood Restaurant.
