On Saturday, August 12, at 7 PM Cinema on the Sound held a short film festival, and four local filmmakers introduced their films.  Local poet David Ellis screened his adaptation of Free Like Seagulls.  Check out other movies to be shown at Cinema on the Sound this month, including “To Sir With Love” (Saturday, August 19, 7 PM).

The Saturday before, August 5, featured the opening of an “artist’s choice” art exhibition ~ art in many forms ~ at Ron Terner’s Focal Point Gallery. In this Facebook video (below), Ron introduces the show and explains the exhibition which runs through this month.
